Today I’m sharing something for you to do instead of something for you to read.
“Upper back, neck and shoulder tension” is a common complaint from my clients. Not surprising since so many people work at a computer for hours each day. Or have jobs where they are lifting, carrying or doing other work with their hands – like parents! Plus so many of our favourite hobbies keep us hunched over with arms in front – knitting, cooking, playing musical instruments, even reading. Physical activities like rock-climbing and swimming too.
“Can’t Get Enough Shoulders” is a 35-minute Nutritious Movement™ Alignment Snack. It’s a fantastic way to address upper body postural strains.
Katy takes you through a series of movements designed to release tension in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Because they’re all connected! She teaches you how to correct your shoulder blade position and how to move your arm independently of that nicely aligned shoulder blade. Not as easy as it sounds.
There’s a little something to engage your lower body too. Give it a try; your body will thank you.
If you enjoy this video you can help yourself to plenty more at Nutritious Movement™: Alignment Snacks. They’re $5 each or $95 for the full set of 22 (US$).
