The best-laid plans. Have you ever tried to create new habits – and failed? I have.
I’ve encountered several personal health obstacles over the years, including a recent cancer diagnosis. I work with a super knowledgeable team: functional medicine naturopath, holistic dentist, endocrinologist, and oncologist. I’m well-educated about health and do my research. So I’ve had no shortage of ideas on how to take care of myself. But the best-laid plans…
How do you create and maintain lifestyle changes and habits? I’ve discovered the secret – a coach! It’s made such a difference. And inspired me to become a Certified Wellcoach®. Ready to help you grow and thrive!
Coaches aren’t advice givers; they’re change agents. Catalysts for change in others. Here’s a short animated explanation of how coaching works:
Health coaches study the science of happiness and well-being to help you:
- Uncover your innate desire for wellness
- Discover your unique strengths and values
- Set realistic, achievable goals
- Overcome obstacles in your own way
- Build confidence in a supportive environment that fosters success
By:
- Actively listening to you and your stories.
- Nurturing self-acceptance and self-respect.
- Engaging, energizing, and encouraging you.
- Celebrating your successes
What does the process of wellness coaching involve?
- Advance assessments. To inform your coach about your specific concerns and health status.
- An initial 60-90 minute session. To identify priorities and design your personal wellness vision, three-month goals, and first steps.
- Subsequent 30-40 minute sessions – weekly, monthly, or quarterly. To review your progress, explore learning, develop strategies for success, and set goals for the following session.
I’m here to provide the support you need. To help you make positive lifestyle changes aligned with your health goals. Changes that last!
